WAG Junior Gymnasts

28 November 2017. The 2017 Top Gym was held at the Parc des Sports de Charleroi from 25th – 26th November 2017 in Charleroi, Belgium. The South African Gymnastics Federation was represented by two junior gymnasts, namely Jade Pailman and Caitlyn Kelly. Gymnasts from about 36 countries were all invited to compete at this 20th edition of TOP GYM, a Women’s Artistic Gymnastics international competition reserved for gymnasts in the junior category.

The competition was split into two days with the second day of competition featuring a team competition, in which teams of four were formed from two nations.

On day 1 of the competition, Caitlyn Kelly had an overall final score of 44.116 with ranking of 32nd. Our second gymnast Jade Pailman finished with an all round score of 42.883 which saw her finishing 36th overall in the Individual All-Round Competition.

Our gymnasts performed well at this international competition, gaining an understanding curve of international competition standards.

SA Gymnasts congratulates our young gymnasts Jade Pailman and Caitlyn Kelly for representing SAGF well. A big vote of appreciation also goes out to the coach for this event, Candice Cronje.
