The International Memorial Tournament “Laza Krstic and Marica Dzelatovic” took place in Novi Sad (Serbia) from the 08th -10th December 2017.

The South African Women’s Artistic Team  consisted of 9 gymnasts, Mareli Theart, Theolyne Campher, Lisa Conradie, Garcell Napier, Che Harris, Quayiya Matyolo, Meghan Pead, Inneke Josling and Gabriela Murray.

Inneke Josling, who competed at the WAG Category 2002-2003, consisting of  23 gymnasts from different countries, secured a fantastic 3rd place overall with a total score of 43.800.  Lisa Conradie posted a brilliant score on Uneven Bars and secured 1st place, winning a Gold Medal with a score of 10.850.

In the category 2004-2005 Meghan Pead finished a commendable 4th place overall with total score of 45.500.  Garcell Napier finished 13th whilst Quayiya Matyolo and Che Harris ended 16th and 31st respectively.

Category 2002-2003 qualifications round saw consistant routines performed by Theolyne Campher  who finished in 10th place overall and Mareli Theart 23rd.

The South African Team brought home amazing results, our gymnasts are making a positive mark in the international tournaments platforms.

SA Gymnastics wishes to thank coaches Leeland Christian and Louis Fourie as well as judge, Lindsay Buckley for looking after the gymnasts and ensuring that the tour was a great success.
