13 Feb 2018. Two of South Africa’s top rhythmic gymnasts, Grace Legote and Chris-Marie van Wyk will be setting foot and on floor for the 1st time this year at the Moscow’s International Tournament. The Tournament will be held at the Sports Palace of the Olympic Complex Luzhniki, Moscow.
The Moscow’s International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament will run from the 15th – 18th February 2018, and it will feature a programme full packed with 3 rhythmic events:
- Youth Olympic Games Qualifications
- 2018 Alina Cup
- Grand Prix Moscow 2018
South Africa’s Chris-Marie van Wyk will take part in the 2018 Alina Cup (International Senior and Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament) where she will be competing in the seniors qualifications round against rhythmic gymnasts from 21 countries. Chris-Marie’s competition will run simultaneously with the Grand Prix Moscow 2018, the event in which Grace Legote will partake.
South Africa’s and African rhythmic champion Grace Legote, will compete in the 2018 Moscow Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix event. She will take to the floor on the 17th February 2018, in the qualifications round where the top 8 gymnasts will move on to the prestigious Grand Prix Finals from the 18th February 2018. Grace is set to compete against some of the best rhythmic gymnasts in the world.
Legote’s last Grand Prix competition was the Grand Prix Moscow 2016 . She finished in 33rd All-round position at that event. Below is the Hoop Routine Grace performed at that competition:
