The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) is now hiring, the following are the open vacancies:

Job Title: Operations Manager (OM), Permanent, Full-Time position
Location: SAGF Office, Cape Town
Reports to: SAGF General Manager (GM)

Job Summary:
The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) is the governing body for gymnastics in the geographic bounds of South Africa. The SAGF Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for ensuring the smooth efficient service of the federation that meets the expectations and needs of SAGF’s customers and clients. The OM coordinates the operations in the SAGF Offices, oversees the staff, providing a support service to the technical stream.
The OM may be called upon to provide guidance to the various SAGF forums and is required to work closely with SAGF Staff, Technical Committees, Provinces, SAGF Executive Committee and contractors.

Remuneration: Negotiable commensurate experience.

Qualifications: 
Relevant and related qualifications, short courses will be considered but a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in sport management/administration will be an advantage.

Experience:
Experience in sports administration.
Experience in a supervisory position.
Experience in project management and logistics coordination.
Experience with a national or provincial sport organisation.
Background and knowledge in sports development.

Desired Skill Set:
Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with people of all levels.
A leader and a visionary.
Negotiate partnerships and/or agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
Resolve inter-personal conflicts.
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Follow up on correspondence in a timely manner.
Work under pressure.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to prepare and present proposals and presentations.

Job Title: High Performance Manager (HPM), Permanent, Full-Time position
Reports to: SAGF General Manager (GM)

Job Summary:
The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) is the governing body for gymnastics in the geographic bounds of South Africa. The SAGF High Performance Manager (HPM) is responsible for coordinating high intensity programmes in the federation (high performance) to improve the federation’s standing in international rankings. This incorporates Talent Identification, Squads Development and Priority Athlete programmes, as well as incorporates international participation of all SAGF selected national teams. The HPM works together with the Development Manager and the Participation Manager for the success of the technical stream.
The HPM may be called upon to provide expertise to the various SAGF forums and is required to work closely with SAGF Staff, Technical Committees, Provinces, SAGF Executive Committee and contractors.

Remuneration: Negotiable commensurate experience.

Qualifications:
Relevant and related qualifications, short courses will be considered but a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in sport management/administration will be an advantage.

Experience:
Experience in a supervisory position.

Experience in project management, event management and logistics coordination.
Experience with a national or provincial sport organisation.
Gymnastics Specific Technical knowledge with at least 8 years’ experience in advanced coaching is a prerequisite.

Job Title: Financial Manager (FM), Permanent, Full-Time position
Location: SAGF Office, Cape Town
Reports to: SAGF General Manager (GM)

Job Summary:
The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) is the governing body for gymnastics in the geographic bounds of South Africa. The SAGF Financial Manager (FM) is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including bookkeeping function, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as funder requirements. The FM maintains the financial health of the SAGF, while ensuring that financial systems are fluid and user-friendly to its internal and external stakeholders.
The FM may be called upon to provide guidance to the various SAGF Forums and Provinces and is required to work closely with the SAGF Managers, Audit Committee, Auditors and SAGF Executive Committee.

Remuneration: Negotiable commensurate experience.

Qualifications:
Relevant and related qualifications in accounting.
Post graduate degree will be an advantage.

Experience:
Experience in preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current South African regulation.
Knowledge of strategic and financial planning including activity costing, benchmarking and donor fund tracking.
Experience in budget preparation and reporting.
Experience in goods and services procurement processing.

Desired Skill Set:
Highly numerate and able to analyse statistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues.
Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with people of all levels.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level, e.g. making payments and producing annual financial delivery plans, etc.
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Follow up on correspondence in a timely manner.
Work under pressure.
